Roadmap

The focus of the 2.0 release is on user experience, and multimedia.
Completed new features:
- Port to KDE4 of code and UI
- Switch to CMake as build system
- Full custom emoticon support (sending, receiving, management, adding received ones, blacklisting)
- Wink support
- Alternative HTTP connections [used when behind corporate/university/etc firewalls]
- Upgraded server protocol support to MSNP15 (as Live Messenger 8.1)
- Tabbed chatting
- KDE integration
- Messenger Plus Live text formatting support [opt-in]
- Global settings with file management, browser/mailclient preferences and account management
- Receiving and sending of Ink (Handwriting) messages [only GIF, no ISF at the moment]
- Chat Logs viewer

This release will see a great amount of radical changes and improvements.
Planned changes:
- Separation of the network code from the actual client, and creation of a dedicated library (Maybe even Qt only and ABI friendly)
- Rewrite and optimization of core components for greater hacking easiness
Planned features:
- Receiving and sending of webcam streams (maybe two-way, too)
- Saving and sending winks
- audio conversations
- voice clips
- UPNP/STUN to enhance Peer to Peer features (file transfers, webcam, ...)
- Additional file transfer and network settings

This milestone contains all tickets which aren't strictly related to any release yet, so that they're easier to find. This is an open pool, so you can randomly pick things from it. You'll also find the "one day we should have..." tickets here.
