Roadmap
-
KMess 1.5.2 contains bugfixes for annoying bugs found in the 1.5 release.
-
The focus of the 2.0 release (formally called 1.6) will be the KDE 4 port and multimedia. With 1.5 it is only possible to receive offline messages, winks et cetera; sending them should be possible with 2.0.
Planned features:
- Port to KDE4, make use of the new framework features.
- Tabbed chats!
- Receiving webcam streams
- More integration with KDE
Maybe:
- Sending of webcam streams
- Sending winks
- Chat Logs viewer
- audio conversations, voiceclips and two-way webcam streams
- UPNP/STUN to enhance Peer to Peer features (file transfers, webcam, ...)
Other:
- File transfer settings.
- Global settings for connectivity.
-
This is the next release after our KDE 4 port. It's currently reserved for features we shouldn't add to the 2.0 release; either because those require too much additional testing or are nice-to-haves.
Planned features:
- upgrade server protocol support to MSNP15 (needed for offline-chatting)
-
This milestone contains all tickets which aren't strictly related to any release yet, so that they're easier to find. This is an open pool, so you can randomly pick things from it. You'll also find the "one day we should have..." tickets here.
