The focus of the 2.0 release is on user experience, and multimedia.

Completed new features:

• Port to KDE4 of code and UI
• Switch to CMake as build system
• Full custom emoticon support (sending, receiving, management, adding received ones, blacklisting)
• Wink support
• Alternative HTTP connections [used when behind corporate/university/etc firewalls]
• Upgraded server protocol support to MSNP15 (as Live Messenger 8.1)
• Tabbed chatting
• KDE integration
• Messenger Plus Live text formatting support [opt-in]
• Global settings with file management, browser/mailclient preferences and account management
• Receiving and sending of Ink (Handwriting) messages [only GIF, no ISF at the moment]
• Chat Logs viewer
